![]() | BEEN THERE, DONE THAT... Let’s be honest, we’ve all been there. The brochure looked good, the course content particularly relevant to your current ‘challenges’. (Whatever happened to problems?) The price per head was ‘reasonable’ and more importantly, the venue attractive, particularly the buffet lunch |
Your glowing praise to anyone who asked (or didn’t ask) back at the ‘Fun Factory’ seemed at odds with the observations of your boss/colleagues/subordinates/casual acquaintances who, one week later are unanimous in their verdict– nothing has changed!
MAYBE...TELL ME MORE...
‘‘Q & D’ Training courses are specially designed for people who haven’t the time to savour the subject in a ‘padded out’ session. People who can ill-afford the time to be miles away from the job, being fed and flattered. People who want answers, NOW.
‘‘Q & D’ Training courses are delivered by hands-on practitioners of the subject, who have not only seen the problems you are facing, dealt with the problems you are facing but have the tee-shirt and even the scars (when things didn’t go quite to plan), to prove it!
‘Q & D’ Training courses cut to the essence of the subject. You will leave with a collection of ‘nuggets’ to take back to the workplace to practice immediately (Remember training is only really effective if you put into practice what you have learned within 24 hours)
OK, SO WHAT MAKES US DIFFERENT FROM EVERYONE ELSE? We can make you a number of promises. Number 1. The delivery won’t be as slick as Michael McIntyre, we’re trainers not entertainers. That’s not to say we don’t believe training sessions can be fun.We guarantee you’ll leave with a smile on your face, a smile that lasts. The kind of smugly self-satisfied smile that comes when you have struggled for hours with a problem, tried every ‘which way’ there is only to realise, in a flash of enlightenment, “That’s how you do it!” Number 2. You won’t be lectured or patronised. You’ll be engaged. The courses are participative; you’ll be involved with case studies, group discussions, question and answer sessions. If it’s interpersonal skills you need, we can include role-play or, for more complex problems, we have trained actors who can act out the situation. Number 3.It won’t break the bank. There are no corporate headquarters to pay for, no vast advertising budgets to be recouped, no administrators to ‘feed and water’, and no big egos to pander to.Just dedicated self-employed trainers who survive and prosper because they are good at what they do. Number 4. If you genuinely feel you have not benefited from your training session, we’ll give you your money back. Like all good suppliers, we stand by our product. If it doesn’t deliver for you, if you haven’t had value for money we’ll refund you. We pride ourselves on delivering Value for Money. In simple terms, a no quibbles, money-back guarantee comes with the package. OK, SO WHAT COURSES DO WE PROVIDE? As you would expect, we cover all the old chestnuts identified in your appraisal/performance revue/training needs analysis/soul-searching at midnight etc. This includes Management, Leadership, Teamworking, Assertiveness, etc.But with a difference... In teamworking we look at how to get along with people you can’t stand! The reality is that over 90% of employees ‘lumped’ together as a ‘team’ don’t perform as a team. That doesn’t mean to say that together they can’t achieve the outcomes the organisation requires. We focus on getting along with your team members, understanding what’s driving their behaviour and then how to influence them to achieve your common goals.(An approach a little more practical than trying to achieve some ‘idyllic’ state that exists mostly in management text books and the latest ‘Leadership’ best seller). If you’re interested we’re happy to provide you with our up-to-date list of courses |
SO WHAT’S IT GOING TO COST ME?
The standard charge is £50 per head for a half-day session. We keep the venue local, at your premises if it suits, or if the course is provided for a number of different organisations in the area, in a venue that’s convenient for everyone.
For larger organisations we can tailor the course to your needs, providing full day sessions or, for subjects like Business Improvement Techniques, phase it over a number of days and make it project-based.

BY THE WAY, WHAT DOES Q & D STAND FOR?
In the Korean War in the ‘50s, the MASH surgeons had to act quickly. They were in the front-line in deciding who would live or die. Any patient that stood a chance had to be dealt with quickly. Patients were stabilised, operated upon and then sent to a field hospital where their recovery could continue under the close supervision of the regular surgeons. The doctors called it Quick & Dirty surgery, but it did the job and over 97% of patients survived thanks to this radical innovation
