More and more, the way we behave towards each other is becoming important in our day to day business lives. In the age of the knowledge worker, employees will no longer tolerate inconsiderate behaviour from others and can 'vote with their feet' if they are not happy with their relationships with those around them
When one considers leadership, at one time people thought leaders were born. In the 21st century, however, it is now accepted that leadership is effectively about developing a series of behaviours that others can relate to. Unlike personality which is deeply embedded, people can change behaviours quite readily. The way we behave is a choice we make. We can no longer excuse ourselves with the phrase, 'it's the way I am'
